I have been a fan of psychological thrillers for many years. This one definitely tested my endurance. The plot has a lot of twists and turns, and sometimes gave me the creeps. The atmosphere Anna Downes created made me feel I had entered another world with no way out. That's the mark of a good book. However, this is one I don't think I will revisit.
