":Close Enough to Touch" by Colleen Oakley is truly a delightful read. It sparked my interest from the very beginning, partly because of the subject matter--allergic reactions--and a lifestyle that is unusual by today's standards. The romance was also very realistic. Not sappy. Not boy meets girl and they live happily ever after. That is fake to me. This story, though fictional, was very real, containing all the elements of real life. I laughed and cried my way through this story, and enjoyed every word and every emotion it brought out.
